Qualifications
Applicants should possess the educational, professional and experience requirements relevant to the position applied for.
Senior Management and Professional Positions
A successfully completed Bachelor's Degree in the relevant field.
A Postgraduate Degree (Master's) in the relevant field, Associate Membership, or a similar professional qualification obtained from a recognized professional body in the relevant field.
At least 12 years of experience in the relevant field at managerial level, including 6 years at Senior Managerial Level.
Corporate/Fellow Membership of a recognized professional body in the relevant field.
At least 10 years of experience in the relevant field at managerial level, including 5 years at Senior Managerial Level.
Class I Officer of a Government All-Island Service or a similar status in the relevant field.
At least 11 years of relevant managerial experience, including 5 years at Senior Managerial Level.
At least 9 years of relevant managerial experience, including 4 years at Senior Managerial Level.
At least 4 years of experience in a Class I post or similar status in the relevant field.
Associate Membership or a similar professional qualification from a recognized professional body.
At least 10 years of relevant managerial experience.
Corporate Membership or a similar professional qualification from a recognized professional body.
At least 8 years of relevant managerial experience.
At least 3 years of experience in a Class I post or similar status in the relevant field.
Engineering and Technical Positions
A Bachelor's Degree in the relevant field.
A Postgraduate Degree (Master's) in the relevant field, Associate Membership or similar professional qualification.
A Bachelor's Degree or a qualification recognized by the University Grants Commission as equivalent to a degree in the relevant field.
At least 7 years of relevant experience.
Class II/III or above Officer of a Government All-Island Service or similar status in the relevant field.
At least 7 years of experience in a Class II/III post or similar status.
At least 4 years of relevant experience.
At least 5 years of experience in a Class II/III post or similar status.
NVQ Level 7 qualification relevant to the technical field, with at least 3 years of experience in the required specialization.
NVQ Level 6 qualification relevant to the technical field, with at least 6 years of experience in the required specialization.
NVQ Level 5 qualification relevant to the technical field, with at least 9 years of experience in the required specialization.
Finance and Accounting
Applicants for relevant finance and accounting positions should possess a recognized professional qualification such as:
Licentiate II / Intermediate Examination.
Certificate II in Accounting and Business Level Examination.
Corporate Level Examination or higher examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
A similar professional qualification from a recognized professional body.
At least 7 years of post-qualifying experience in the relevant field.
Project Secretary
Passed the G.C.E. (O/L) Examination in six subjects with credit passes including English and Sinhala/Tamil language.
Passed three subjects other than the General Paper at the G.C.E. (A/L) Examination.
A Secretarial course from a recognized institution or pursuing examinations leading to Chartered Secretary qualification.
At least 4 years of relevant experience.
A Chartered Secretary with at least 4 years of relevant experience.
Management Assistant
Passed the G.C.E. (O/L) Examination in six subjects with four credit passes including a language and Mathematics, together with two other subjects in one sitting.
Passed the G.C.E. (A/L) Examination in one sitting.
Accounts Officer
Applicants should possess the relevant qualifications and experience in accounting and finance, including recognized professional accounting qualifications and the required post-qualifying experience.
Driver
Passed the G.C.E. (O/L) Examination in six subjects with two credit passes including the relevant language and one other subject in not more than two sittings.
Valid driving licence for Categories C and C1.
Category B in the new driving licence where applicable.
At least 3 years of relevant driving experience.
Office Aide
Passed the G.C.E. (O/L) Examination in six subjects with two credit passes in not more than two sittings.
