Qualifications:
- Medical Laboratory Technologist (External): Obtained a degree in Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS) recognized by the University Grants Commission and registered at the Sri Lanka Medical Council as a Medical Laboratory Technologist.
- Medical Laboratory Technologist (External): Obtained a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology from an institute recognized by Sri Lanka Medical Council and registered at the Sri Lanka Medical Council as a Medical Laboratory Technologist.
- Medical Laboratory Technologist (Internal): Completion of qualifications required from external applicants above.
- Management Assistant (Non-technical) (External): Passed six (06) subjects at the G.C.E. (O/L) examination with four (04) credit passes including Sinhala/Tamil and Mathematics in one sitting.
- Management Assistant (Non-technical) (External): Passed at least three subjects (except General aptitude test) at the G.C.E. (A/L) examination.
- Management Assistant (Non-technical) (External): Having followed recognized Computer Course.
- Management Assistant (Non-technical) (Internal): Being an employee of Primary Grade non skilled, semiskilled and skilled service categories who have fulfilled qualification in below 2,3,4 and 5.
- Management Assistant (Non-technical) (Internal): Passed six (06) subjects at the G.C.E. (O/L) examination with four (04) credit passes including Sinhala/Tamil and Mathematics.
- Management Assistant (Non-technical) (Internal): Having followed a recognized Computer Course.
- Management Assistant (Non-technical) (Internal): Should hold a permanent post and have confirmed in this post.
- Management Assistant (Non-technical) (Internal): Should have completed at least 05 years continuous satisfactory service in a permanent post to the preceding date.
- Laboratory Assistant (External): Passed six (06) subjects at the G.C.E. (O/L) examination with four (04) credit passes including Sinhala/Tamil, Mathematics and Science in one sitting.
- Laboratory Assistant (External): Passed at least three subjects (except General aptitude test) at the G.C.E. (A/L) examination.
- Laboratory Assistant (External): Having followed recognized Computer Course.
- Laboratory Assistant (Internal): Being an employee of Primary Grade non skilled, semiskilled and skilled service categories who have fulfilled qualification in below 2,3,4 and 5.
- Laboratory Assistant (Internal): Passed six (06) subjects at the G.C.E. (O/L) examination with four (04) credit passes including Sinhala/Tamil, Mathematics and Science.
- Laboratory Assistant (Internal): Should hold a permanent post and have confirmed in this post.
- Laboratory Assistant (Internal): Having followed a recognized Computer Course.
- Laboratory Assistant (Internal): Should have completed at least 05 years continuous satisfactory service in a permanent post to the preceding date.
- A Citizen of Sri Lankan.
- Physically and mentally fit to discharge the duties of the post well and to serve in any part of the island.
- Possess excellent moral character.
Age Limit:
- Medical Laboratory Technologist: Should not be below 22 years and not above 45 years. Management Assistant & Laboratory Assistant: Should not be below 18 years and not above 45 years. Internal applicants are not affected by the upper age limit.
